Common questions

Frequently asked

Is Sculpteo better quality than Printora3D?
For SLS, MJF and metal printing — yes, by an honest margin. Sculpteo runs industrial-grade machines with BASF-backed material qualification and ISO-certified process control. For FDM and SLA parts under 200 mm, our quality is comparable; the differentiator becomes price and turnaround rather than print fidelity.
Why would an Indian SMB pick Printora3D over Sculpteo?
Three reasons: GST invoicing (essential for B2B input-tax credit), domestic shipping in 1-3 days versus 7-10 days from Europe with customs friction, and pricing that is typically 50-70% lower for the same FDM/SLA part because our cost base is Indian rather than EU.
Does Sculpteo ship to India?
Yes, Sculpteo ships internationally from France. Indian buyers should expect customs duty (typically 28-42% of declared value), longer lead times, and no Indian tax invoice — meaning the part cannot be claimed against GST input credit.
Which is better for aerospace or medical prototypes?
Sculpteo. Their EN 9100 (aerospace) certified workflow is built for that use case. Printora3D does not currently hold those certifications, so for regulated end-use parts we'd recommend Sculpteo over us, full stop.
Can I get the same engineering polymers from both?
Sculpteo has direct access to the BASF Forward AM material library — Ultrasint, Ultracur3D and similar. We stock established equivalents (Carbon-PA for stiffness, Tough Resin for impact) but don't carry the full BASF range. For a cost-sensitive functional prototype, our materials are usually sufficient; for material-qualified end-use parts, Sculpteo's library wins.
